Why do Celebrities gain so much attention when they lose weight?
Is it because we look to them as role models in life? Probably not.
Is it because we envy their weight loss success Perhaps, yes.
Is it because the media hypes their weight loss so that we have no choice but to be seduced into thinking that WE must look like THEM in order to be considered “beautiful”? ABSOLUTELY.
But wait…
There are a couple of things you need to be reminded of before you fall prey.
Celebrity Weight Loss MYTH #1: A celeb finds and diet and wants to share it with the world!
As if. Any celebrity that endorses a product is PAID. Period. Do not believe for a second that they are following a certain fad diet just out of pure will and curiosity. These people are being paid the big bucks to promote and be the face of whatever product they are selling to the rest of us. Without a monetary gain there would be not celebrity on the front cover.
Celebrity Weight Loss MYTH #2: A celeb is just naturally perfect.
Celebrities are, for the most part, helped by and entire entourage of people who HELP them look their best. They design meal plans, they choose the clothing, they do the makeup and hair for the magazines and red carpet events. If a celebrity didn’t have the kind of help of which we only see the “end product” they would never look that good.
